If you use a programmer you can copy the information from the original screen to the replacement and retain True Tone functionality. Face ID will still function as long as you don't damage any of its components when you swap the parts to the new screen. The phone will boot without face id plugged in. Good luck.

I saw the option for self service. It looks like the part is only $10 less than having Apple do it themselves. Is that right? If I were to do self service, will true tone and auto brightness work? Looks like ubreakifix is considered a certified partner to make replacements.
